Monday: Ceramics Class

Glazing: We had a review of the essentials of glazing today. I glazed the goddess canister I created last spring, this being the only bisque fired piece of mine ready for glazing. Next week, my four bowls may be ready for glazing.

Wednesday: Printmaking Class (and Advanced Printmaking Class)

Completed the cutting of my three zinc plates on sea shells. Gave them their acid baths (15 minutes total) and tore paper to print this series. Here are my current lino blocks, ready to print.

Thursday: Sculpting Class

We continue building the head of a classmate.

Thursday: Photography Class

Developed my contact sheet at 30 seconds and again at 50 seconds. The second result was the best. My classmates were very supportive and helpful with this and with developing my first print from the negatives associated with this contact sheet.

I continue working on the World Press Photo Exhibition project.

Friday: Computer Class

NO class this week (PD Day) so I collected four more female images to use in the Wizard project I’m working on. Hillary Clinton, Oprah Winfrey, Barbara Walters and Queen Elizabeth.
